Inspired by the women of Zambia – their beauty, strength, daily lives, dignity, joy and the immense value of their often overlooked contribution to coexistence and Zambian society as a whole.

This concept is conveyed through a fusion of the traditional, feminine-associated chitenge fabric (a rectangular cloth with vibrant print patterns that is wrapped around the body to protect clothing and express humility) with classic “Western” workwear, which is typically worn almost exclusively by men. Men in local communities have better chances of finding formal employment in industries such as mining, construction or agriculture.

We believe that even where financial wealth is scarce, communities are incredibly rich in experiential, spiritual, and relational capital. This belief inspired us to create our unique “Chitenge” print.

Through our bespoke print design and the high-quality craftsmanship (or crafts-womanship, to be precise), we honor the invaluable contributions that women make to Zambia in every aspect of society.
